In collaboration with pamujung@LJ I am helping with the Arashi Fan Map Project!
She has compiled over 3000 names to make a poster and a map of all the fans that made it by the deadline.

My part of the deal is 3 fold.
1. Edit the letter written to them (in English).
2. Translate and write the letter to the boys in Japanese.
3. Deliver the posters and letter to Keikarou (Aiba's family's restaurant).
So here's the English version of the letter.
Dear ARASHI,
Congratulations on your 10 years anniversary! We hope to give you a small glance into the magnitude of your greatness sending our sincerest love for you through this project.
One of your fans, who lives iabroad, collected information from various ARASHI international communities online for one month in order to make this map. She then sent it to one of your fans, who lives in Japan, to deliver it to Keikarou.
This map contains about 3,000 of your fans, but there are more than 15,000 of us around the world. Most of the fans included in this project have been following you for many years now and have never had the chance to visit Japan or one of your live appearances because they were only held in certain parts of Asia. But thanks to the Internet, we are all able to keep up with your activities and support you from our distant countries.
You symbolize inspiration and comfort; many of us feel like you are our friends. Although we don't know you personally, we feel connected to you. You are like no other idol. You are always humble and appreciative, which is something that attracts so many to you. Through all of your efforts to create a storm world wide, you have touched many lives across the oceans.
Your dynamic personalities, talent, and music are undeniably a perfect balance to make the perfect harmony. We love you very much. We hope that someday we will be able to see you performing in our backyards, and that you will be able to show the rest of the world just how great you are. We are always here to support you. I went to the bookstore to get more POSCA pens and a few other colors of permanent pen so i could fix my Happiness charms....

So I am watching Sho-chan on ZERO right now... he is either looking old or tired... can't decide which. lol. *kicks self*
So, I am still on the art kick... and have made myself charms for my cell phone out of the drawing I made last time.
I have to find jumper rings, or a chain to attached all the guys to :D ..::EDIT::.. It's almost 3am... but I finished my Happiness ones, too!!!
These were made for a friend who asked me to get her a strap for her cell phone.For some reason the colors that I used for Aiba/Jun/Sho disappeared as soon as they were exposed to heat... so I have to get different pens for their colors....
So, this weekend, Kiyomi was supposed to clean her room....
While cleaning (like 4% finished) she found her pens and her notebook....
so she stopped cleaning to draw and have a green label♥ beer.........
and at 4am, her room was still a disaster but she had finished drawing these!
What I learned: I get distracted easily... Maybe I'm ADD?
I decided to go the cheap route since I am pretty broke this month, so I headed down to Nagoya via bus. I was supposed to get there at 520am on Saturday morning, but because there is no snow falling at the moment, I arrived at 430am!!!! It was FREEZING and Nagoya station wasn't open yet. *kicks Japan Rail* but I found a 7-11 near the station's Taiko exit and browsed around there till 5ish. By the time I left the conbini (7-11) the station was open and there were A LOT of lockers open *thank you JE gods* so I stuffed my overnight bag in a locker and headed to the Higashiyama metro line to get to Nagoya Dome. After transfering once, I arrived at Nagoya Dome Mae Yada station on the Meijo line at 5:59.
The walkway from the station to the dome was NOT LIT at all. I was walking in COMPLETE darkness. I looked at a building that had the time and temperature on a screen on it and it was -1 degrees celcius outside... and I still had at least 3 hours till I could get goods. For some reason, people were lined up single file, so it seemed like an eternity as i proceeded to walk aaaaaaaalllll the way around the dome to the end of the line between gates 7 and 8 (goods line started around gate 3). There was a Nagoya-native waiting behind me and she was by herself too so she shared her blanket with me and we talked about how much we loved Arashi and how cold it was for the following three hours.
They didnt open the lines up early at all. As a matter of fact, the workers didnt even come till around 830
Anyways, so the goods line opened and we made our way downstairs to where they were.... then the weird thing happened..... the sign for the charm had a weird redish-orangeish-yellowish color charm pictured.... uh.... did they run out of blue ink in their printer!? NO! The charm is ORANGE!? Yeah, EVERYONE was either complaining or trying to understand what was going on... ppl were saying that maybe the company in china they used didnt have purple... others were speculating they were using their "old" member colors... others just thought the charm colors have no meaning. Anyways, once we were let in from the final holding area right outside of the goods area, EVERYONE rushed to the charm area. I think this was the best time to NOT be buying charms. I was able to get everything I needed besides the charms in less than 10 minutes, even though I had to line up in five different lines... but the charms were limited to 5 per type (charm and strap, so 10 each) and I had to buy a bunch for friends online and my AST girls *woot woot shout out to you!* so I ended up lining up three times. (T.T)
I was out of the goods area by 930 and ready to get myself a big starbucks caramel macchiato. Luckily there was an Aeon mall next door, so we headed over there and the mall was exclusively selling the new Fashio (?) mascara that MatsuJun was promoting.
After that, we went to Nagoya Castle because I wanted to take Mirror Man reenactment pictures. There, we ate Kishimen, which is a Nagoya specialty. Kishimen is kind of like udon in terms of the wideness of the noodle, but thinner... its like narrow okkirikomi noodles (gunma noodles).... if that makes sense to anyone out there besides me. Then we headed over to the castle to stand in the same spot that
I met up with a few friends and one of them, from mixi, offered me a keikarou strap in exchage for standing in the cold and getting her the nagoya charm. so I now have a black keikarou strap on my phone!!! Another friend, who I sat with at Kokuritsu, gave me a streamer (the silver one) from a previous concert she went to as a thank you for buying her her charms. I swear, Arashi fans are so awesome!
This was my first dome with the guys so I was totally hyped that I hit with my membership for 28th row of first floor stands on the third baseline. Nagoya dome feels a lot smaller than Tokyo dome, but the way the stadium seating is set up is rather distant. It goes out horizontally more than up vertically, so you still feel farther than you should... but this allows for a bit more leg room which is much appreciated when you have your purse, goods bag, and down jacket with you.
I took my friend Ivan (yep a guy) who has been a fan of them for the past few years and we had a great time.
At the entrance of gate 1, there were flowers sent by GACKT (>3<)/

感謝カンゲキ雨嵐- So instead of flying on a zipline across the dome for the opening, the boys came out on a four cylinder balloon that had 5x10 printed in the center in red (as pictured below). As the intro music started playing for the VTR to Kansha... the balloon rose from behind the stage. They started slowly singing a capella before the music came on.
They were all hanging from the balloons (L to R: Nino, Ohno, Sho, MatsuJun, Aiba) and the staff carried the balloon across the dome from the main to back stage.
Lucky Man - I don't know how many times sho got us to scream out "Man" when he said, "Now, when I say lucky you say man!" but I felt like I was screaming "Man" for an eternity

Crazy Moon〜キミ・ハ・ムテキ〜 - I really like this dance!
PIKA★NCHI(aiba solo)- ok so i feel bad about saying i was bored last time... I just dont think the performance fit well with Kokuritsu... The sound and visuals in the dome made this performance much more enjoyable. I still wish he kind of changed the song up a bit and made it more pop, or more masaki.com-ish, but it was cool. I think the dancing got a lot better, harder hitting and more intense.
Horizon - were they on the carts for this? i can't remember anymore. hahahaha. . . but I think they were for this and the next song because they somehow made it out to the backstage to perform allergy.
DAGAN-LINER
アレルギー - AMNOS dancing with giant veggies is awesome. They were pretty silly on stage. This song, as well as horizon and dangan liner are hard to watch because there is so much going on with the boys on the backstage and the videos playing on the mainscreen.

Carnival Night - always a crowd pleaser. There was a crazy colorful VTR across the screen... I swear it is worth spending hours and hours trying to teach yourself the dance because it is so much fun to do it with the boys at a concert.... They didnt really sing any of their solo parts to the song... they just kept screaming "C-A-R-N-I-V-A-L NIGHT!"

〜Band introduction by Arashi〜
After nino finished his song, they went right into introducing the band. Aiba was pretty crazy when he was dancing to each band member's solos. Sho introduced next. Ohno messed up the name of the strings... he said springs instead of strings. hahahaha. Finally MatsuJun announced the 5x10 orchestra. and 5x10 orchestra flashed on screen.
Everything - I love the mood that this performance sets. It is such a powerful song and the images they use in the VTR as the guys sing on the main stage really makes it heartwarming.
瞳の中のGalaxy - at the end of everything, a shooting star goes across the screen and all of a sudden a galaxy of stars appear both on screen and on the ceiling of the dome... this could only mean one thing... TEARS TO FOLLOW!!! T.T I absolutely love hearing hitomi no naka live. Like LOVE it. So much emotion... and Omiya SK love! When they first sing together, "bokura wa kaze no naka de...", nino starts rubbing satoshi's shoulder then sticks his hand under satoshi's sleeve... and starts rubbing/tickling him... it was cute cuz Oh-chan ran away from nino down stairs. The VTR was the same, so the big eye came on screen, closed, a tear fell down and a small sprout grew from where the tear drop fell.

台風ジェネレーション - Nino's "じゃ、行ってくる。" part was cute as always. At the end he did a salute to the camera.
曇りのち快晴(Leader solo) - I actually saw Riidaa run off stage this time (from the backstage) to change into Yano Kenta during Typhoon. His solo was cute with clips from the drama playing as well.
a day in our life - The four others came out on the carts from the 3rd baseline side of the main stage with show in the front hyping the crowd up. Then Riidaa's cart came out last, it was amazing how it wasnt even delayed, and Sho FINALLY started the actual song after making us chant over and over again.
ハダシの未来 - The carts made it all the way around the arena and the guys were at various parts of the stages (two on either side of the main stage, one in the center of the stage, and two on the sides of the backstage) as the did MY FAVORITE song. It is sooo much fun to dance to, and Sho didnt look nervous high up on those tall and tiny rising stages.
Oh!YEAH! - This has the fun and easy hands-waving-to-and-fro-in-the-air-as-we-sing dance. I think this one is fun too!
Step and go - They start step and go and do the dance!!!!!!! Soooooo fun! I was waiting for this since it was one of the first songs of Kokuritsu.

〜MC〜(19:25-19:50)
-The MC started and MatsuJun changed into his shirt... and then Ohno helped him cover with a towel... BOOORING!!!
-Nino teased Ohno for messing up during the introduction of the band. he was supposed to say "Chorus and strings" but he said "Kotarou and super springs!" hahahaha. Sho and Ohno had talked about posing together, but because Ohno messed up the words, Sho posed alone and he said he looked silly. Sho messed up in the very beginning with his wardrobe... and he blamed it on the fact that for the entire tour, he only had one tank top... and the vest that he had on top had some issues when he took off the top jacket that they came out in. Then Aiba scolded him and Sho got "mad".
- They then moved on to when they did Carnival Night. MatsuJun said he noticed something strange with Aiba and Sho. Aiba and Sho wanted to change their positions during part of the song when Nino and Ohno (who are on the left side of the stage) change positions... so they tried it out... and then, when they went to change, they almost bumped into each other, and then just turned around. They forgot to decide who would go forward and who would go back. So they just stopped, looked at each other, and turned around back to their original spot. MatsuJun saw Aiba cracking up. haha. The other guys told Aiba and Sho they should practice it right now. Sho said he was embarassed.
- Sho mentioned that Aiba's face was so awesome at that moment and MatsuJun said best face is when he messes up.
-they started to talk about their new years activities.
-Nino stayed home and did some things he had to get done and that he was off till the 4th when they did the lighting event. He didnt go anywhere.
-Aiba-chan finally told us which "minami no shima" he went to. He said he went to Thai's.... and he couldn't remember the name of the city. hahaha. Right after they all went to the temple to pray with Johnny's family. He went to Phuket in Thailand to play golf. He said he went through Korea, and a bunch of girls started screaming. Nino told them that they could've seen him... He said his companions felt bad and were pretending to do it for him. hahaha. He said when he got back he went to an onsen trip with his family. They also got strawberries. His little brother took two strawberries and put them to his chest and went, "Niichan, look, nipples." and Sho-chan was like, "How old is he!?" and Aiba said that he's 23! hahahaha. awesome.I kinda felt bad for him because he said that when he went to the airport, he was there at the prime time (evening) with a few of his friends and he knew he was going to be bombarded by the paparazzi because, well, he's Arashi... but sadly no one was there. hahahaha. He said he even had stopped to fix his hair before he got on the people movers. but because no one was there, his friends that went with him pretended to be paparazzi and were asking him where he was going and stuff. hahahaha. Nino told him maybe right before he came, there was someone who came and the paps followed them instead of him.
Also, when he came back to Japan he spent time with his family at an onsen and his little (23 year old) brother had taken two strawberries put it in front of his chest and went, "Nichan, look nipples!" hahahaha. soooo silly! -MatsuJun went to the Inaka... Okayama and Kagawa with the same posse he went to America with last year and they went to a temple and sightseeing. He didn't get omikuji. Nino told him that if he pulled it now, it would say "You should die." hahahaha. (Implying bad luck).
-Ohchan was home with his family on the first and second (he mentioned somewhere before that they played bingo)...
-Sho didn't say much about his new year, but he mentioned that he had work starting on the 3rd filming episode 2 of Kabachi... and then he also said that when he saw Katsumi-san, one of his co-stars, without his curly wig on, he didnt know who he was. MatsuJun scolded him saying that it shouldn't have been hard to recognize him just because of his hairstyle. Sho talked about iitomo and how he was so happy that the guys sent him flowers because he didnt get much from non-sponsors... so they all talked about how they decided to do it right in front of him and that they should do it for each other every time. MatsuJun said they discussed sending the flowers to him and that they wanted to be at the very end of the hall and make him surprised... but Sho-kun complained that he didnt really have enough flowers to make that impression... but he was super thankful they sent him some. He got flowers from maybe three other people... and that's it.
- The conversation moved on to Ohno being on iitomo the next day. MatsuJun said he was super surprised because it was the first time in a long time he saw Ohno so dark. Then ohno tried to blame it on the make-up artist. hahahaha. And they scolded him for that saying that it was impossible.
-Sho-kun pimped his Kobe special and said that the director said he played catch ball with Nino when he worked with Nino a few years back.
- He then fumbled on the name of "Tokujo Kabachi" and said "Tokujo Kabaichi" hahahaha. And nino teased him. Sho-kun pimped the new arashi song... and MatsuJun mentioned that there was going to be a special on sunday afternoon, a navi, shot live from Nagoya Dome. The Sho-kun tried to leave... and the others were like, "Why?' Aiba went, "Do you have to use the bathroom?" and then Jun scolded him saying, "everyone is here" and then Sho made the gestures that his GF is mad... and Aiba laughed after Sho-kun left the stage cuz he said no one laughed.
-Nino moved the convo to Aiba-chan and the fact that his drama finished. Aiba thanked everyone for watching.
- Then they talked about Jun's Fuji TV Special airing in spring.
- MatsuJun talked about the mascara he's promoting, which started this day. Nino said that he didnt know he was doing the CM until a staff member on Gantz said he saw the cm. Nino told the guy that he should know that MatsuJun is a guy. hahahaha. Ohno asked if MatsuJun got a lot of free mascara and he said he got a lot. Aiba said he wanted it. MatsuJun kept saying that it will make your eyelashes go, "WASSHAAAAA!" when you wear it. He also said that his hair style was made to look like eyelashes, and the boys teased that he mustve used a lot of mascara to hold it up. hahahahaha.
Aiba then introduced Sho-kun!
とまどいながら(sho solo) - I seriously cannot begin to end
WISH (jun solo) - I think I said this for Kokuritsu, but this version really suited him... actually, I think all the solos were pretty well fit for the guys minus Aibas. I loved the jazz feel to this solo. And the second half after the dance break with the water fountains... it was fun to see that new york-ish city on screen and all the flashbacks of domyoji... After all, that show helped make Arashi as popular as they are now.
僕が僕のすべて - I love this dance long time. hahaha. it's super simple, but sooo catchy! Plus, i swear i danced the same way before seeing the performance.
Attack it! - The lyrics of this song are TOO FAST. hahaha.
Truth - loves the fireballs in the dome, but it seriously gets hot from them.
明日の記憶 - I love the whole set up of this performance because the boys are all standing under each of their giant pictures (in outfits for the poster photoshoot) on the mainstage's screen (Nino, Aiba, Ohno, MatsuJun, Sho). When I was at Kokuritsu I was sitting at an angle where I wasnt able to see everything, but this time I could. One by one their names and birthdays flashed across the top screen above the main screens.... Then they showed a few picture of each of them from the time they were babies until they were Jrs.-ish. Ohno had a cute bald one... Aiba had one where he was pulling the front of his pants down, hehehe... sho had a lot of cute ones (but i didnt think he looked like himself)... nino had one in a beanie and sunglasses when he was really young... and matsujun always had those crazy eyebrows from the time he was born. Then all of the boys photos of jr-now started flashing on screen all at once and moving closer together, then it faded into a scrolling collage. It was like a memorial to them
〜Arashi through the years VTR〜
M: In 2009, we celebrated our 10th anniversary. In these 10 years, we really experienced a lot.
(VTR from their time on the boat in Hawaii talking about how nervous and excited they were)
O: In 1999, we became the group called Arashi and debuted. We held our debut announcement in Hawaii.
M: In April of 2000, we had our first concert. I wonder if the people who were at that concert are still watching us now.
A: In 2001, we had our first Japan Tour in gymnasiums and arenas. It was an awesome tour. We were also on our first TV show as regular talents.
S: In 2002, during the Here We Go! tour we did a lot of things. MatsuJun and I did dramas (Gokusen and Kisarazu.)
N: In 2003, we did a spring and summer tour. I had my first starring role in a drama (Stand Up!). This experience gave me a lot of strength.

A: In 2004, I started my job on Shimura Dobutsuen and was tested beyond my limits. The five of us were chosen as the talent for 24 hour TV show helping dreams come true. This was the first time I wrote a letter to the other members in the group.
M: In 2005, the moving stage made it's debut. With this, we were able to have a lot of fun with everyone and set a new standard for concerts and got closer to everyone who came to concerts. This year, I starred in Hana Yori Dango. "Omae, Ore ni horeteru no?"
S: In 2006, we had our first Asia tour. It felt like a second debut. Also, in this year, Nino starred in the Hollywood movie, "Letters from Iwojima" and I started my news caster career.
N: In 2007, thanks to all of your support, we had our first dome concert. I starred in a drama with Sho-kun. It was a very good year.
O: In 2008, I had my first gallery exhibit and first starring role in a drama. It was our second 24 hour tv appearance and 2nd asia tour.
S: And in 2009, we had a lot of things going on, but believe started out our adventure. On New Years Eve, we appeared on Kohaku for the first time thanks to the support of everyone. We would now like to take the time to reflect on the past 10 years.

〜Last words〜
S: Everyone, thank you very much for coming today. In one of our new songs of 2010, there is a phrase that I really like. The song for Zoom in and the Vancouver Olympics, "Yurase Ima wo", it's after the second chorus... what was the lyrics? "itsu no manika jidai ga ugoita, mou nani wo iwaretatte iiya". I'm not sure if the generations have moved, but I feel like whatever I am told i'm fine with. If you're wondering why, it's because these four guys are here, and because you are here with me. So from now on we, I, we willl keep going down the path that we are on. Please be kind to us this year.
O: Thank you all very much. 2010 has already started, but 2009 was a year where we did a lot of stuff. I hope this year we will be able to continue to tour as we have now. I really want to be close to all of you. Doing a concert and being here, seeing all of your faces, I really think it's great and I want to spend time with you. So please come with a not-strange face to meet with us again. Thank you.

Arashi right now is shining right now with no chance of losing. Being in a place like this, is something I really like. I think recently, since around the 5th, I have seriously been fighting aliens... covered in blood... it's really bad news right now... no matter where i look, they're everywhere! But, being here and doing concerts is the most fun we have. I am really glad we had the opportunity to do this. Today was really a lot of fun. I hope that we can do another tour this year. I mean, I am just going with what you guys want. Being the voice. You want a live, and so do we. I will do my best to fight the aliens. Thank you very much.
M: Good luck. (To nino.) Everyone thank you very much. 2010 has started, and it's the 16th, right? Being able to be here with all of you like this, having fun. Doing a concert like this and being in front of all of you, in my opinion, is when Arashi is most like Arashi. I am looking forward to being with you all again. I will take the energy you gave me today and use it throughout this year. I hope to have a lot of fun with all of you and work hard so please support us in our 11th year. 5×10 - They all started out kinda shaky.. aka CLEARLY NOT lip syncing. But this song is amazing and makes you want to cry.... all the memories that you share with arashi come flooding back to you as the sing... The view with silver and gold stars are falling all around them is captivating.

ファイトソング - They seriously like to leave us on a "high tension" level. lol. Most of the versus were just spoken... When Riidaa sang, "Kurabeta jitende maketeru", it was in a silly but totally on key voice... super cute. This song was so much fun! So many fist punches in the air and "EH! EH! EH, EH, EH!"s
五里霧中 - I like this song, too. MatsuJun did some MAJOR fan service going out into the stands, standing on the dugout... and then he ran on foot to the main stage at the end! It's really up beat.... and you are going nuts with the boys... until you get to the "Sa-yo-oh-na-raaaa!" then you get sad. To end the song, they make us do the music-stopping-rock-band jump like three times.... in between they are going nuts on stage! I swear these guys must be on crack!
They talk for a tiny bit... Sho-kun does an Inoki impression and right when he goes, "Ichi, ni, san.." Jun goes, "Hai, stoppu!" and Sho goes, "Chikushooo!!" hahaha. Then he thanks us. Aiba thanks us. Ohno says, "Even though it's Winter it's hot like summer." They all say thank you again... Nino says, "Kyou, yacchaimasuka?" "Mou yamemasuka?" and we all scream at both, athough the first was "Yaru" and the second was "yada" Nino was like, "Uh... docchi?" hahaha. So Sho-kun tries his Inoki impression again.... and no one stopped him, so he got mad. hahahaha. And then MatsuJun, who was still out of breath, said his last words, and then lets Aiba introduce the last song of the night.
マイガール - It was cute because when they were walking from the main stage to the center stage during the intro of this song, aiba put his mic up and at first you think he is going to say something, but u see matsujun slowly lift his arm up to aiba's and bring aiba's hand down... so you realize that aiba was going to start singing early. hahahaha. This especially becomes obvious when aiba starts cracking up!
it was a good con... I think it was around 3 hours and 15 minutes...

I feel JET lagged coming back from Osaka on that night bus... I dont know how I am going to survive going straight to work from the night bus back from Nagoya!!!!
I am just about half way through my crazy month of concert and prefecture hopping. So far I have managed to go to Tokyo (for Uchi-kun) and Osaka/Hyogo for Eito cons... and I am going to Chiba/Tokyo to hang out with my best friend from high school who is coming with his GF, FML, this weekend... then Nagoya and Mie for Arashis finals shows the following weekend!
Now it's time to be in FULL ARASHI MODE again!!!!!!! *insert crazy fangirl flailing*
I am SO GLAD there is no concerts planned for February... I think I and my wallet need a month break from the craziness.
Ohh, I do have to apply for Guys & Dolls because I am a sucker for Uchi-kun.

On a side note, I ended up sitting with a fanboy at the Eito countdown concert (he's a friend of a friend of a friend... does that make sense?), and he forgot his penlight for the CD, so I let him borrow my old one (spring 2008, the one with the glitter that's yellow) and he said in return for letting him borrow my penlight, he is going to give me the pink Sho Tokyo Dome charm in Nagoya!!!! He said he is a Nino fan, so he would rather a Sho fan have it, since it's technically Sho's color!!!! I am sooo excited!!!!! but now i totally wish i had collected them all!!!
Also, on another charm/strap related note....
I was searching for the Keikarou strap online because I am going to Chiba this weekend and wanted to see if there was any information about them still being on sale... and found that there was a limited edition, only 750, strap that they had only for Xmas/Aiba's birthday!!! It has a special 4 leave clover charm added to it!!!

I would totally buy it, but it is going for over US$120 on auction!!!

For the MC, they were killing time before On Air of the JE Countdown. I think it was around 11:30pm when it started. A few of them would run off stage to change from their white outfits that they were wearing into the leopard print outfits they wore at the opening of the concert. Ryo asked us if we recorded the JE Countdown on to our Hard Disks. hahahahaha. When Yoko and Okura came back out, Yoko wanted us to practice how we were going to bring in the new year.... and he said we should all jump at the new year because we can tell people that we weren't on earth during the first moment of 2010. But after we all jumped, he was laughing because it was a cool idea and he was proud of himself... plus there were SO MANY boobs going "boing" haha. Yoko was so proud of himself. They talked about all their projects this year.... J ROCK, Kagotsurube, 24 Hour TV, ROMES, UtaOni (pa pi pu pe po! and they said that the intro for wanshan is in the puzzle dvd for a second *runs home to watch the DVD*). Ryo wanted us to scream "kya" and Yoko made us practice it. On the actual show, we were pretty loud.
∞Then...... JE countdown came on the large screen and two of the side screens. Ryo noticed Yamapi... and the boys were like, oh! It's shuji to akira! And yoko was like, "Well, here, we have Ryuhei to Shota!" Then Arashi came on screen... and we all started freaking out. We got to see what was going on when there was no commercial because they were checking the live feed. Then Yoko made fun of the announcer pronounciation "araSHI" and he said, "We are kanjaNI." The top of the castle had a clock and Shota said, "Oh! We're in London."
∞And then Arashi came on the screen doing "believe" the boys were adlibing the whole time. "Oh! Kakkoi!" "It's Matsujun!" Yoko was like, "Sho-KUN!" and they started singing the chorus. During Kinki's debut song, Shota, Okura, Ryo and Maru started going up above the screen in their baskets
∞We all went NUTS! Hina was wearing a Kyocera Dome hat. haha. For the NEWS song, they guys were so funny. They didn't know when they were going to be on air, so they were acting like the ahos they are during the WHOLE song, singing along, making faces, and all that fun stuff.
∞After that, they told us we did a great job, and then started dancing and singing to the rest of the songs in the line up.
∞10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1!!!! BOOM!!!! JUMP!!!!! All of Kyocera Dome jumped and the fireworks went off.
∞ Eito's first performance of 2010 was Zukoke Otokomichi from the backstage (which was close to where I was sitting)... it was fun... but I think there was a lag in the audio cuz their vocals and the music weren't in sync.
∞For "weeeek" they raised up the two rotating platforms and showed Ryo once during the broadcast, but all the other guys were dancing around during the song. Right after "weeeek" most of them ran off to change, ripping of their shirts and running with their pants around their ankles (saw ryo and subaru's undies) and Okura, Yoko, and Maru were left... Okura was hazukashii but they were singing to Kat-tun... and then they announced that they are going to b the Ninja for the Matsuri Ninja song. Okura thinks Jin is kakkoi. The guys actually took a while to change... and I think it's because they were wearing layers. They kept asking us to get super hyped up... and then Yoko was practicing his intro speech.
∞ Then the song came on!!! hehehe. SO fun! Ninja Eito!!!
∞ They changed AGAIN, and came out one by one.... in Eito Ranger outfits!!! They told us during Venus that Arashi would be singing Sukiyanen, Osaka.... And then our arena started playing One Love!!!!!!!! OMG it was hilarious! I'm sure everyone has already seen the clip of it.... But we were so loud they couldn't hear themselves. poor guys.
∞ For HatsuUta eito changed again into their Kyu!Jo! Show! outfits... these guys did four costume changed! haha.
∞ Then the Tigers!!!! Yay for US!!!! Massu was sooo funny with his "iron na koto try...shite. hontou ni medeTIGER!" hahaha. and then Kokubun! I didn't know he was also a tiger! hahaha. Gah, I'm getting old!
∞ Once Eito gave their, "what we hope for 2010" speech... they stopped the feed and continued on with the concert.

they only sang 急☆上☆show!! once (didn't do it in the encore) and the Jr. medley turned into one Jr. song) which was fine, but I am sad I didn't get to see the subaru vs. ryo sumo and korean-crossover-j-pop-idol Maru vtrs again... one can only hope for a DVD. With the JECD included, it was around 3 hours and 15 min... apparently they weren't supposed to run the show past 1am... but they did. hehe.
Althought I haven't been to Johnny's Countdown before, I am pretty sure that going to a specific group's countdown is a lot more fun. We got to see them being them. If that even makes sense. I think I'll try to aim for a solo countdown instead of JE CD... especially since I now know that I can watch it on the Jumbotron from where ever I am. hehe.
The Show started with Shiro-something Jo telling us the rules of the concert... The stage was basically a huge castle in a winter forest. The center of the stage used the big screen for his eyes and the stairs (which also was a screen) for his mouth. The left side of the stage was white trees and the right side was 4 different castle tiers. There was a tiny screen at the top of the castle that usually had the eito sign or the name of the song they were singing at the time. They used carts a lot (the giant ones with the screens were decorated with snowflakes) the side stages (at the 1st and 3rd bases) were cherry pickers and they had huge inflatable hands (the castle's hands) coming out of them... the backstage was in the eito shape, and were two seperate rotating stages. They used the carts and the giant moving plexiglass stage that came out from the mainstage to get there.
The opening VTR was a cartoon version of them and I cant remember exactly how it went, but each of them were picking up their instruments from the forest.
ローリング・コースタ - Yay for starting of the concert with a band song! It was like they were picking up where they left off for Puzzle because this was the last song of the main set for that con.

video clip with a King in the castle watching tv... amaaaazingly funny. Maru as a up and coming Korean-crossover-J-pop-star being interviewed by Yoko... then sumo subaru came onscreen... and it was the same as red ranger... but it continued on to show his opponent, and their match... and his opponent was Ryo!! He was so funny and super into it with his bangs tied up (the way tegoshi likes it) slapping (and hurting) himself, preparing to battle Subaru-sumo. Then, all of a sudden Korean-crossover-J-pop-star Maru comes in as the "ref" and gets heated, and rips off his shirt.... it was random, but well appreciated. These were mixed in with the king switching channels between these shows, a strange dark indian, ROMES, and i dont remember a Hina clip, but there had to be one.
急☆上☆show!!-they came out in the PV outfits with their guitars from under the main stage's stair case, and it was almost perfectly in sync with the PV. Then they made their way on the giant moving plexiglass stage (the one that Arashi often uses) over the center of the arena to the backstage.

10年後の今日の日も ok, not going to lie. I love this song, but the fact that Hina took over Uchi-kun's solo hurts a bit... just a bit.

∞They started thanking us, and talking about how happy they were to be able to do this CD live. And Yasu was like, how many years has it been since we've done it? And the other guys were like, uh... this is the first time we have ever done it.
∞Then, Yoko starts complaining hahaha. They showed an MStation performance and he complained about how Okura shook his hair out in Yoko's face on live TV and it threw him off.
∞And then during "Kimi no Uta wo Utao" at the end, they throw their top hats back to the Jrs... but Okura threw his up straight in the air, and it hit Yoko on the head. hahahahahahaha. I totally didn't see it. *sad face*
∞Then he talked about MSSL and running in with AKIBA48 (yes, he said AKIBA not AKB haha). He said that he was super nervous because they all came at him at once, and that he wasn't used to being surrounded buy a lot of girls... and then the guys were like, well, what about now? And he said it was different than now because there is distance between him and us. So he got super nervous when they came at him, Okura, and Maru and Okura goes, "Yoko, what are you going to do!? You're heart's racing isn't it!?" Apparently, Yoko has a thing for one of the girls in the group.... and then he runs to Akanishi to taddle on Okura, and Akanishi calls Yoko over when he is by AKB. hahaha.
∞Yoko said that when Hina saw AKB, he was like "THERE ARE SO MANY!!!" and Ryo was like, "You can't say that." and was like, "THERE AREN'T A LOT!" then Yoko said that it made him think that Eito didn't have enough members looking at AKB.
∞They then move on to talk about how loud Okura's voice is... especially when he has delicious food. When they went to Guam, they were eating at a breakfast buffet and at the end when Okura was full, he turned to this older couple that was sitting next to him and said, "I am SO FULL!!!!" Subaru said he felt bad for them... plus the people didn't understand Japanese.
∞One day, Yoko and Maru ate out together, and Maru had curry rice with curry bread.
∞ They also talked about all of their families and how a few of them would be coming to see the concert. Shota's family was coming... Okura said his brother is coming and that he didnt want to say if his dad was come because he is very recognizable now... and they talked about how his dad is on Youtube. I think Yoko is the only one that said he wasnt having a family member come for sure.
∞They were talking about all the TV shows that they did this year... Kampani, Room Zero.... and Ryo said that everyone has probably watched it on Youtube. hahaha. And Yoko was like, "You do!?" Then they asked who doesn't have a computer, who does, who has one at their house, who doesn't have a cell phone, who doesn't have a home phone. And then Maru asked a random irrelevant question, as always. hahahaha.
∞And then Yoko said, "thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules..."
∞They talked about Otoshidama (lucky money envelopes usually given to kids) and he was worried about giving it because he doesnt have any money and that there were 77 Jrs. that were working with them. And Okura and Hina were saying that Yoko should give it to them because he is the oldest and the Leader. hahaha. But he said he wasn't afraid to "dogeza" down to them. Then they pimped the pouch envelopes. And they closed the MC introducing Shibutani Subaru and Yasuda Shota's song...
desire - the two guys stood on the main stage and were surrounded by atmospheric smoke. Yasu was on the right wearing a pair of thick rimmed fly shaped black rim glasses, a blue vest cardigan thin over white and Subaru was on the left wearing a phedora and gray. I kinda thought Yasu's mic could've been turned up a bit more (throughout most of the night) but it was nice to see this song live.
torn - I LOVE this performance on the DVD... so to see it live, with Ryo starting on the cart by my side of the arena and Okura on the far side and with the special sexy shirtless VTR on the big screens... They made it to the backstage to do the dance part towards the later half of the song.
ワンシャン・ロンピン - So, the dark indian... ended up being Maru.. good times. hahaha. His solo was extra cute as he came out in a pimp UtaOni outfit, it was very fluffy and colorful. He was surrounded by all the Jrs. so it was really cute. I was shocked, but excited, that this started playing out instead of Hoshii mono wa. At the end of the song one of the Jrs. get hastled by the Tiger, and then he said he wished someone would help him clean his clothes so his mom didn't get mad at him for getting it dirty when he fell....
Babunman - So, from the Puzzle Dokkiri... Hina did teh Babun song in the bubble blowing outfit with the nasu-colored cowboy hat. It was epic. There were bubbles everywhere around the backstage. It was so much fun to watch this song because there's audience participation, and you know that everyone has seen the dokkiri, so we all knew what to chime in with.
413man - This opened up with the cartoon version of the guys, and then Yoko's character is left... and then they show his hand come out, and a hand holding a cane reaching... then show cartoon Yoko and his cartoon Grandpa... I think I started crying at this point. The other guys helped out with Yoko's song playing for him... it was cute cuz Maru and Hina were still in their solo outfits... yep, Babun was playing keyboards. I don't think there was a dry eye in the crowd.
Jrs. Medley... Hey!Say! West, BAD, BOYS, and the Kansai Jrs. did a medley right after Yoko's solo... i was a bit bummed that they didn't do some kind of emotional song, or pick up after 413man, cuz it threw off the flow of emotions of the con, but I guess it helped us snap back into concert mode cheering on the Jrs.
Snow White - For this, there was a message onscreen asking everyone to turn their penlights off... some of the girls sitting in the sections closest to the stage didn't see the message... so it was kinda weird to have only the side sections with their penlights on. The song starts with a VTR of Ryo walking out on a balcony sort of thing over a busy street then he lights a match, they zoom in on the flame, and the song starts. At the end of the song, the VTR starts again and the match burns out, then he throws it on to the ground in a pile of other burnt out matches.

They started the show in Leopard and black suits... then red outfits (hina was the first one to change during the opening MC), there were white outfits, Kyu!Jo!Show outfits, and black sparkly outfits as well. For the encores they all wore the concert T-shirts and their first name initial was written on the back of them. Okura had his hair cut, and he looked really good. Subaru wore his hair up for the ending part of the concert. He also cried at some point, i think it was either for Hitotsu no Uta or Fuyu Koi because I remember them coming out again and he said he was "moved (感動した.)" During one of the winter songs Minus 100, they showed footage of all of the guys writing messages on paper, and Hina wrote "THANKS SHINGO", Subaru wrote "eightあいしてる。すばる eighter" and Ryo wrote a NOVEL, and at the end of it, wrote "I love you like a fat kid loves cake" I think those papers were made into the "snow" for the song Yuki wo Kudasai.
The concert was around 3 hours and 15 minutes last night.
The goods were pretty cute. I LOVE the mug. The pamphlet is cute because they ask you what you are doing at 11:59:59. It shows each of the guys doing different things before the new year... and then in the back it features special Japanese games that are done around this time. the uchiwa are super cute, too. I think everyone would agree with me that Yasu's is a must buy. I saw almost every girl buying one. The T-shirt has their faces printed on it... I was kinda disappointed that the blanket didn't have a logo on it besides the tag. the shoppin bag.... i swear its orange, but my friend insists its red.... The envelopes are cute, I am not sure what I'm going to do with them since Im not planning on giving otoshidama, but it was yet another impulsive buy on my part. The deco seal is a jewel eito that is rainbow colored (red, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, black). I LOVE the chibi pelight. It is seriously the size of your palm, and is super bright changing all eito colors (white instead of black). It's eito shaped, with mini eitos running diagonally across the whole thing, then in the center it says Kanjani8 2009-2010 on it. The bottom of the penlight base has a jewel shape... the only thing i dont like is that it doesn't have a strap.... I actually got too excited with the penlight at the beginning of the con and lost my battery cover... luckily we found it after the con was over. hahaha.
