Hi!!!

sooo as I said now I'm hooked into BBC radio shows, right now I'm listening to a drama adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles :D

ok, now  for something completely different and to add yet another *I was listening to a podcast* series

this time I was listening to one about how art has been linked to humanity since long ago between other stuff... and how much we value to possess original art *when possible obviously* rather than reproductions, and this is because we feel as if we can connect with the artist mind at some level

this made me think about another podcast about webcomics and there's a guy who sent a question to the show asking how they manage with reader mail and hate mail, if they have some sort of *answer ready to send* or something like that, since he spends so much time answering to his

so the guys were talking about how much they prefer short and sweet mails with something like  *thanks for your hard work, I love your strip* rather than long messages and how they usually ignore the hate mail

but they also were talking about how... weird is when they get messages that are something like *I have been reading your strip for a long time and I'm not satisfied at how things have been going lately, so unless you change this I'm not gonna read it anymore*  "not exactly the words but that's the idea"

and they were saying things along the lines of *who do you think you are to tell me what I can or can't do with my strip?!* but let's put that aside and something that really got me *I didn't know you even existed*

which brought back to my mind yet another podcast hosted by a couple, and I was thinking when they were telling his experience of meeting/interviewing some of the cast of MST3K *if you don't know what that is, google is your friend* and how weird it was at first for them cuz they didn't know how to conduct themselves, specially the woman cuz she said she was there expecting some sort of super friendly almost family welcoming and how she was thinking *c'mon guys, it's us!!* because she's been watching them for so long, that it felt as if those ppl were family

so I was thinking about all that *I know it's too much...* and the strips, because now and then I get some comments from you telling me that the strip of that day made your day better... or how you've been reading those for months and how much you like them

and this is nice and a little strange for me, cuz sometimes that's the only message I get from some of you like, ever

so it makes me feel good and perhaps a little guilty because it's like *wow this girl has been following my silly strips for so long and I didn't know she existed!! oO* and at some level I feel guilty for not knowing that, I know it's impossible to know who's reading, but still...

however, is nice to know that even when you don't say a word, you're still there; laughing with me...

*or at me, but I prefer to think is with me*

so I just want to say:

and now I believe what will be the very last strip of the year

Mステーション SUPER LIVE 09 生写真 『嵐』

I've meant to write a somewhat proper update since way back but didn't have the time wasn't in the mode for it so let's see how this goes...

I have arrived in tokyo since end of november and now one month has passed!
It's hard to describe it well but this one month seems to be long and short at the same time lol.

From the time of carrying the luggage up the stairs to this old but cozy small apartment - with no curtains, minimum lights, no computer, no tables/chairs etc to the current state: typing on my mac laptop on this Muji kotatsu (assembled by me ;D), Muji floor chair (set up by me ;D),.. oh except hubby is currently assembling a Muji shelf.. I can say it's pretty much settled.

Have I mentioned I'm in Muji heaven? ;D
From a failed and Muji-less Australia to Muji-heaven Japan yay!
Most of our household goods (and my clothes) are from Muji, they're easy to assemble, stylish, and not so expensive heheh.
oh, Arashi heaven too of course, more on that later.. I need time to sink in.. lol.

Some random notes:
- didn't know there's a custom of buying small towels as gift for greeting the neighbors who live in the same block of apartment.
- I like this small apartment, I can hang curtains without standing on my toes let alone on a chair!
- sleeping on futon on tatami floor was nice for the first few days then I started to get stiff muscle due to sleeping on hard tatami floor (futon not thick enough XD).. oh and the labor of laying the futon every night and packing them back to the closet the next morning... I missed my bed very much but I guess I got used to the futon hard tatami floor now lol.
- finally! I could get away from killing spiders like three or four times a day.. XDD
- and of course, being able to watch arashi on tv is awesome!! but I still managed to miss the VS Arashi ever since they changed to golden time since it's just too early..! not home yet ah!

err I think there's more but I gotta go now.. catch up later! ;D

oh and I miss drawing!

Reaction of Nino with Jun's gift [2009.12.30]

Report regarding talks about birthday present from Matsumoto Jun to Ninomiya Kazunari were previously posted [on Cyzowoman2]. Matsumoto Jun has completed and passed the jigsaw puzzle with Ninomiya's favourite game DragonQuest after taking a long time to do. On last JunStyle broadcast on 26th, listener asked the question " Have you completed this? Jun cheerfull answered "I have passed this to him". He completed this at the start of September and was able to pass to Nino end of September during Osaka and Fukuoka concert. Once the puzzle was completed, it was unexpectedly huge. It took some time as Jun ordered a frame for the puzzle. Jun commented "I had to put this on the floor of the house and didn't do this at my desk and was lying on the floor all the time". I finally handed this to him at the parking of Haneda Airport. It took some effort to carry this before the concert. According to official site the completed 1000 pieces DragonQuest puzzle、「ドラゴンクエストIX 星空の守り人 ジグソーパズル 1000ピース」 was size of 50cx75cm. Ninomiya's reaction upon receiving such a gift was rather big. On the way back, we hadn't spoken for a long time. I brought the box with me and passed this to him. Then said Bye. Nino received the puzzle with a smile. Will the day come where the loving puzzle will decorate his room?

The end of year countdown concert will be a big job ahead with Arashi appointed to chair this years countdown concert which is 3yrs in a row and will be busy until the end of the year. The broadcast will be on FUJI TV starting 23:45 for 1hr. Don't miss it!

松本潤が贈ったビッグな誕生日プレゼントに二宮和也の反応は......

本サイトでも以前にお伝えした嵐・松本潤から二宮和也への誕生日プレゼント話。ゲーム好きの二宮が、興味深げにながめていたドラゴンクエストのジグソーパズルを、ナゼか完成させて渡そうと企画したものの、久しぶりのパズルとなかなか時間がとれないことから手こずっていた模様。そんななか、26日にオンエアされたラジオ『JUN STYLE』（NACK5）にリスナーから「完成しましたか？」という問い合わせが届き、その後のエピソードを紹介してくれた。

「渡しましたよ！」
　
　と元気よく答えた松本。なんだかんだで9月の前半には出来上がっていたのだが、渡せたのは9月下旬のコンサート（大阪〜福岡公演）の最中。出来上がってみたら予想以上に大きかったため、ちょうどいいサイズの額を発注したことで少し時間がかかってしまったのだそう。

「糊づけできなかったからずっとうちの床に置いてあったんだけど。机の上とかでやらないで、ずっと地べたで寝っ転がりながらやってたから」

　そうしてやっと完成したプレゼントを渡したのは、コンサートから帰ってきた羽田空港の駐車場だった。コンサート前だと荷物になるだろうという配慮からだったのだが、スクウェア・エニックスの公式サイトによると、「ドラゴンクエストIX 星空の守り人 ジグソーパズル 1000ピース」の出来上がりサイズは50センチ×75センチとなかなかのもの。

　そんなビッグプレゼントをもらった二宮の反応はというと、

「なんか、『えらいの来ちゃったな』みたいなリアクションでした。帰りがけだったから、そんなゆっくりしゃべったりもしなかったんだけど。まあ、箱のまんま持ってって、はいって渡して。『見て』ってこともせずに、『じゃあね』っつって......」

　とまどいながらも笑って受け取ってくれたという二宮。果たして、愛情こもったジグソーパズルが彼の部屋を飾る日は来るのだろうか？

　そんな嵐だが、年内最後は紅白歌合戦出場とカウントダウンコンサート......と大きな仕事が控えている。カウントダウンコンサートでは今年も嵐が3年連続となる司会者に任命され、最後まで大忙しの年となりそうだ。毎年恒例のフジテレビによる中継も23時45分から1時間かけて行われる予定なので、どうぞお見逃しなく！

Then, this week I’ll answer the question from Emi-chan, a 6 years old girl in Yokohama City. [Ohno-kun, what is a present from Santa that you’re happiest to receive?] I see. A present from Santa. That’s right, it’s Christmas, right? When I was a kid, that’s what I like the most. Long boots Inside the boots there were a lot of sweets. For me, I thought it’s okay to receive it no matter how much. Really. Then, if it’s one,I would eat it, and I would want to put my feet inside it. That’s why I wanted two. Then, first, I put on one. And then, It was when I was still a kid, But I can’t put my foot into that long boots. I thought I could that’s why I wanted two. But I can’t even put on one foot. Probably it was the ones with the biggest size but still I couldn’t put it on. I thought that Santa’s feet were small. Fuhahaha~ (laughs) I have that kind of memory. But even now, if I receive that, I would be happy. Yes. Somehow, that is the image of Christmas, perhaps. Today’s Christmas yo. I, Today, will go to that~ At night I’ll show up in Music Station. Probably I’ll wear a Santa Clause costume. I might wear Santa Clause costume, then sing and dance. Emi-chan, check it out tonight! 『第60回NHK紅白歌合戦』 Arashi Medley List 2009.12.30

Rehearsal for the 60th Kouhaku song festival on the New Years Eve started on the 29th at Shibuya, Tokyo NHK Hall. Chunichi/Sanspo report this morning revealing that Arashi will be singing a 4 song medley. Previously 2 songs were announced with 「Believe」 & 「A.RA.SHI」. Today, they announced 4 song list medley. Apparently, Arashi will be leaving NHK Hall around 22:45 to head to Johnny's Countdown.

デビュー１０周年で紅白歌合戦初出場となる人気グループ「嵐」。本番で披露する「嵐×紅白スペシャルメドレー」の曲目は、「Ａ・ＲＡ・ＳＨＩ」「Ｌｏｖｅ　ｓｏ　ｓｗｅｅｔ」「Ｈａｐｐｉｎｅｓｓ」「Ｂｅｌｉｅｖｅ」の４曲と、この日判明。選曲は、本人たちの意向とＮＨＫの要望で決めたという。冒頭にはデビューからの軌跡をたどる映像が流れるもようだ。

　オリコン年間チャートで史上初のＣＤ・ＤＶＤ“４冠”を達成、今年の音楽シーンをけん引した。非公開のリハーサル後、取材に応じたメンバーにはカメラマンのフラッシュの“嵐”。松本潤（２６）は「こんなにフラッシュ浴びたことなかった」と驚いた様子だった。

　最近は街で会うお年寄りらに「紅白見るよ」と声をかけられるという櫻井翔（２７）は、「１０周年の締めに紅白に出られて、いい記念の年になった。（引き続きジャニーズ）カウントダウンコンサートで２０１０年に向けたいい流れができる」と語った。

　リハーサルでＮＨＫホールのステージに立ち、「『あ、本当にやるんだ』って実感しました」と、感激の様子なのは大野智（２９）。同じジャニーズ事務所のＮＹＣ　ｂｏｙｓの知念侑李（１６）が「嵐に負けないように頑張る」と、ライバル宣言したことを報道陣から聞かされて、「こっちも負けないように」と気合を入れたが、メンバーから「仲良くやろうよ」とたしなめられていた。

　嵐は午後１０時４５分ごろまで出演。その後、カウントダウンコンサートの開かれる東京ドームへ移動するという。

嵐、初の大舞台に大興奮「紅白すごい！」

　大みそかの「第６０回ＮＨＫ紅白歌合戦」（後７・１５～１１・４５）のリハーサルが２９日、東京・渋谷のＮＨＫホールで始まった。

　デビュー１０周年の節目に初出場を決めた嵐の松本潤（２６）は「紅白の雰囲気はあらためてすごい！　こんなにフラッシュを浴びたことはなかった」と興奮。当日は０７年の「Ｌｏｖｅ　ｓｏ　ｓｗｅｅｔ」など４曲のメドレーを披露する。歌唱前に１０年の軌跡をビデオ映像で振り返る趣向もあり、櫻井翔（２７）は「本当にいい記念の年になった」。

　白組司会の中居正広（３７）は「嵐は力のあるグループ。自分たちのコーナー以外でも（曲紹介など）プレゼンしてくれるので、頼もしい」と信頼を寄せた。

嵐 極秘リハ…紅白初出場“新人”で異例

６０回メモリアル紅白の目玉のひとつ、初登場となる嵐のステージ演出は、３１日の本番までナゾのベールに包まれることになった。午前中に行ったリハーサルでは、客席から報道陣を閉め出す完全シークレット。ベテラン勢が非公開にすることはあるが、初出場の“新人”となると異例だ。

　関係者によると、リハーサルでは２階建てセットの上段部分に５人が登場して、デビュー曲「Ａ・ＲＡ・ＳＨＩ」を皮切りに「Ｌｏｖｅ　ｓｏ　ｓｗｅｅｔ」「Ｈａｐｐｉｎｅｓｓ」「Ｂｅｌｉｅｖｅ」の４曲を約６分間にわたるメドレーで熱唱。相葉雅紀（２７）が客席に降りるシーンもあったという。

　リハーサル直後に５人で会見を開き、リーダーの大野智（２９）は「あさって、ホントにやるんだって感じです」と夢舞台にシミジミ。相葉が「ＮＨＫホールはジャニーズＪｒ．時代に何回か来たけど、紅白となると気持ちが引き締まります」と気合を込めれば、二宮和也（２６）も「紅白という素晴らしい番組に嵐が出ていることが楽しみ」と本番が待ちきれない様子だ。

　また、同じ初出場でジャニーズ事務所の後輩・ＮＹＣ　ｂｏｙｓもリハーサルに臨んだ。嵐に先立っての会見では、知念侑李（１６）が「嵐に負けないように頑張ります！！」とライバル宣言。後輩からの“宣戦布告”を伝え聞いた松本潤（２６）は「仲良くやろうよ」と余裕の表情を浮かべた。

　嵐は本番では番組終盤での登場になるが、オープニングからフル出演。国民的人気を誇るグループだけに、自分たちの出番以外にも顔を出して視聴率アップに貢献する。
