So I just got back home and showered (it's 1am) and I thought I'd jot down a few notes about the con before I crashed (I'll be more detailed tomoro...). This was my first KAT-TUN con, and it was pretty fun. I only knew like half of the songs (the old stuff and most recent singles) and KAT-TUN fans are soooo different from the Arashi and News and Uchi ones!

the inside of the dome... yea, I'm a bad kid... but i couldn't resist! and EVERYONE does it!
We sat in the 1st floor stands on the third baseline and were in the 18th row (which was really the 14th cuz there was no rows 1-4). This was RIGHT under the flying lines that the boys used throughout the concert, so we got to have kame and jin fly at and over us during the king duel thingy, nakamaru and ueda in a cage flying over us, and Taguchi came over in the crane basket thingy. The only person we didn't have that up and close time with was Koki, but we definitely got to see him on the carts.

♡ There was all sorts of crazy going on. I hadn't read the con reports from other people cuz I didn't want any spoilers, but it opened like jailhouse rock-status intense stage presence. The ENTIRE stage wall was covered in Jr.'s in cages all tied up together in red/orange jumpsuits dancing together. It was an epic way to start the con off. Kame looked super cute wearing sunglasses (so was Jin) and a long bandana under his hair... very rocker-ish. Koki's hair is bleached and the black heart (that was in the pamphlet) is not there anymore. and the rest of them looked normal. haha.

♡ Nakamaru has been attempting to bungee jump everyday... he had two "batsu" on his helmet today.... and tomorrow he can add a "sankaku" (traingle) to it because he sorta "jumped" it. hahah. It was more like a fall after he asked them to lower the crane 1/2 way... but he still did it... kinda.

♡ Koki did the producing of the show today... he chose to sing "Hell No" and "Shorty."

♡ There was a lot of playback of KAT-TUN PVs and performances (we even saw Kusano in the background of one from their jr. days *tears*). It almost seemed like it was their 10th anniversary *kicks and screams* (remember, i am first and foremost an Arashi fan).

♡ The MC

The MC was fun, they all did their little schpiels on their upcoming projects... Kame with Gokusen and MR. BRAIN, Jin for Bandage. Then they give away a bunch of posters (we didnt get any).

♡ Tonight's guests were Matchy, a Kansai Jr (Nakayama?), and one of the Hey Say Jump boys (daiki, i think). He sang "Mayonaka no Shadow boy" (best song ever!).

♡ Also, ABCZ and KisMy did their songs... I know KisMy did "Fire Beat" because I remember it from Uchi's con... but idk about ABC.

♡ Real Face was cute cuz Kame did the rap, and Koki sang Kame's part...

♡ Love Precious One, and glad they sang it. I liked their old stuff a lot.. esp. cuz it reminds me of their Jr. days.

♡ "White world" was kinda creepy with the ghosts that turn into girls for jin's solos... but its a good song.

♡ Solos (these are not in order... or if they are, it's not on purpose, cuz i cant remember the order)
     - Kame's solo was the first one, and sort of early on in the show. He did 1582. He was dressed up like a samurai/geisha? haha. He wipes blood across his lips and cheeks, and sings with it across. He is pretty hot! haha. I swear that 1pound gospel drama did him good, cuz the guy still has pecks! He had water works, fire, and even fireworks that he held while he spinned around in the center stage. It was a pretty awesome performance.
     - Ueda, although super nervous and shakey, did a great job with his piano pieces tonite... He did Hana no Mau Machi. It was really pretty. It seriously made me think of him differently... (yea, usually i see him as a girly guy, sorry ppl)
     - Nakamaru's getting REALLY good at beatboxing. He coughed at one point then said it was part of the show, but idk... it didnt really seem like it. Either way, he was good!
     - Koki's solo was pretty cool. Mainly because of the motorcycle he and some dude rode around the dome to a little hamster ball looking cage that the pro guy rode around in while koki stood in the middle with his bike. But also because he did a taiko segment in the beginning. It was hot! And the taiko drum beating is always so powerful.
     - Junno's was not really memorable for me. I think Koki helped him sing it in the beginning, Wind.
     - And of course Jin's song with Crystal Kay that ppl have been buzzing about. It was actually pretty good, but she overpowered him. . . the English was perfect, props to CK!

♡ "NEIRO" was really good, and it had the audience participation with penlights... first was formation of three hearts which we werent a part of, and then we were sitting in the "N" of KAT-TUN for WE ARE KAT-TUN. It was pretty exciting. haha.

♡ There was only one encore (but the con still went over 3 hours) and it was pretty long. I think they sang three songs.

♡ There was motorcycle spinning in a giant hamster-ball-type metal cage, kame jumped from a cage onto a huge airbag, there were anime versions of akame, and so much more!

So all in all it was a pretty exciting con, and I'm glad it was my first dome. Sets the bar pretty high, and I hope my seats can only get better (which is hoping it starts to rain lemondrops and gumdrops).

Aaaaaaaalso, to anyone that is reading this, I had a miscommunication with a friend, so now I have an extra shopping bag and Jin Uchiwa that I want to sell... anyone wanting to scoop them up, PM me for details!
