A: Today, Arashi's new single "My Girl" goes on sa~le!
We, Arashi, are sending you our round-table discussion about the appeal of this single!
S: Aiba-kun, have you been listening to it while on the set of "My Girl"?
A: On set, Koharu-chan always sings it for me.
N: So~ cute.
A: She has remembered both songs perfectly
O: That's amazing.
N: I think the feeling I get is that because the melody is so easy to familiarize yourself with, it makes it it easy to remember.
M: Well, we don't know how this drama will develop but if this song has some kind of effect on it, I think it would be good. Like for the people watching, if they get that emotional reaction when they hear it. Well~, it all depends on Aiba-san. (lol)
A: I'll do my best!
S: From my position... I hope that people can enjoy it with the drama.
N: From my position?
S: If I was My Girl...
Arashi: (lol)
S: Well~I think this song is trying to say that there are trying times, but there are also times that you should be thankful.
O: Right, right. This is a perfect fit for the drama! It even plays during good parts of the drama... it even fits with the opening of the drama
A: You could imagine it (lol)
M: I think about the fact that our debut song was "Arashi", and now that 10 years have past and we are able to sing such a beautiful song like this.
M: Also, the coupling song, "Tokei Jikake no Umbrella" is the theme song for Ohno-san's drama, "Zero Go Shitsu no Kyaku".
O: It is. The strange atmosphere that you feel from this song matches the drama well.
S: It matches that drama's strangeness, right?
A: For me, it's an image of a western-style house!
S: I know what you mean!
N: Probably, because that's also the drama's image.
S: From my postion...
N: Here it comes (lol)
S: It's that feeling of wanting someone to enjoy it with the drama!
A: Huh? I wonder if he is in that drama?
O: He is.... not in the drama (lol)
S: But, the single couplings are usually kind of fresh. The other day, I watched the drama and I think that it went perfectly with the ending.
M: It's really nice that the single this time has a lot of variety! In the normal edition of the single, the song "Super Fresh" is also included, all three of the songs are have very different colors (moods) to them so I hope that everyone will enjoy them.
O: You're right.
S: And there is the "My Girl" video clip making as well.
Eight years ago, the obsession started (yes, I am THAT crazy) and now, I finally got to see and hear Arashi in Concert!!!!!!)
I guess I will start from the beginning of my adventure...
So
on Friday, after work, I headed down to Funabashi in Chiba. I live two
and a half hours north of Tokyo, so it was going to be quite a long
adventure. Three hours later, I arrived in Funabashi. I was meeting my
friend who went to Kokuritsu on Thursday, just for me, to get the
billions of dollars of goods that I wanted (and had to get for my
lovely friends). So I get there, we exchange the money and goods, then
I hop back on the train for Hatsudai (Shinjuku). An hour after that, I
arrive, eat, shower, talk with my friend, and get mentally prepared for
Saturday morning.
After 4 hours of sleep, I get up and put my black summer dress (which was a bad idea, btw) on and head out for Kokuritsu to buy the remaining of the goods my friend couldnt get me. I am kind of dragging in the morning so I get to Kokuritsu at 8 am-ish. I get in the goods line, and it looks craaazy intense. They have made a filtering system, with four sections that they are shoving girls into and releasing out into the wild as the people within the goods area near the stadium are leaving. Goods were supposed to start going on sale at 10am that morning, but because of the crazy amount of us FGs, it started at about 7:45, which is when I got there.
I didn't
actually get into the goods area until 10 am (which was faster than I
had expected) so I spent about an hour and a half lining up for goods.
A couple of hundred dollars later, and after
ktmonkeyj was finished buying all of her goods, we thought we'd head to Shibuya for lunch and to meet up with
agtoro . As we walked back to the subway station, we could not believe the line of girls. It was INTENSE!
Before we knew it, it was time to go back to Kokuritsu. So we hop on the Ginza line, and head for Kokuritsu (switching to the Oedo in Shinjuku).
The massive flow of girls was greater than any other JE con, or any con for that matter, that I had gone too. They were VERY organized about funneling us into our designated directions to enter into the concert. Apparently there was a bus display somewhere, but it wasn't near my gate (Aoyama) so I missed it.
We get into the venue, and it is huuuuuuge!!!
A friend of
agtoro
helped us ballot, because the two of us didn't hit, and her number is
very early on in the fandom 001234XX. So we got pretty awesome seats.
We were sitting in section 10, in the front section, and in row T. I
was a bit disappointed at first, but then we found out that the moving
stage would come down the hanamichi in front of us, and would rise up
to around our eye level!!!! The nice thing about our seat was that
there was no one sitting behind us, so we were able to put all of our
stuff on our seats and not worry about getting bashed in the head with
penlights or uchiwa (yes, we exprienced that.... CRAZY KAT-TUN FANS!!)

As requested by my other AST members, I tried my hardest not to blink, or forget what went on, but I will admit that I went into a white haze of bliss from time to time. Here is what I remember.....
So the concert started a bit past 5:40, and people were getting antsy, but didnt really start chanting as much as I expected. Before the Opening VTR started, the side screens were showing previews for their variety shows and then the lights came on, everyone rose to their feets and the opening VTR came on.
I remember them showing all of their names in their colors and then all of their cd covers. Then the intro for 感謝カンゲキ雨嵐 comes on and the boys pop out from on top of the giant screen on the main stage. ♪Smile again, ありがとう♪ followed by the audience screaming ♪ARASHI! after every line, they moved across the stadium waving and singing at everyone (Sho-kun still as always) and flew all the way across to the Olympic flame (which wasnt lit yet) platform. They were wearing white trench coats that were accented in gold, black, and yellow, and on the back was "ARASHI 10" written on it. And on the front there was the same thing ( I think) written on different areas for each guy.
At the base of the flame, they started singing Step and Go and made their way down the stairs to the other stage at the bottom of the stand seats. Without singing the rap to Step and Go, they went right into Lucky Man. They were on the moving stages. Sho, Nino, and Aiba were on our side of the stage, and Ohno and Jun were on the other side as they all made their way to the main stage.
The next song was We can make it! and it was suuper cool because water fountaints (think Bellagio at Las Vegas, but they didnt sway) came shooting out of the blue catwalks and in front of the main stage, synchronized with the music's melody. Sho didn't do the rap here either. 風の向こうへ was reeeally cute, we all clapped along to the beat. Sho's rap was cute, and I was glad to see it. They were all over the place, but they all came together on the center stage in the end for Crazy Moon. This was the first time they danced a routine that night.
Then they finally stopped to talk to us and thank us for coming. The guys all went offstage, the lights were set, and all of a sudden drumming started. the Jrs came out drumming, holding flags, and I think one was holding a baton, and they covered the stage and catwalks. I think it was getting dark by this time. I didn't really know what was going on because the drumming wasn't reminiscent of any of their songs, so I just sat in anticipation.
Then, Aiba-kun came flying out in red shorts and a red shirt. He was using the zip line again, but he was hanging much lower than they were in the opening number. Then he dropped himself at the center stage. I thought he was going to fall off the stage! (he tripped a bit when he landed) It was kind of a "hard" rock version of PIKA☆NCHI. Honestly, I was a bit bored, but his dancing was good. I thought he would have done something a bit more up beat, but I guess he's maturing?
Then, they sang DANGAN LINER and HORIZON. I was pretty stoked! If you watched the main stage, they did a 3 split screen. They had an old performance clip showing (on two sides of the main stage) simultaneously with the live video feed of the boys in the center of the screen. It was cute to see them singing with their old selves.
アレルギー and ココロチラリ were fun too! I remember watching them a long time ago and they were dancing to アレルギー with giant vegetables... so they showed the split screen vtr of them dancing before, and all the boys were dancing now with the same vegetables. hahahaha. For ココロチラリ they showed the clip with the boys with baby puppet bodies, and their heads singing the songs. I dont remember where it was from, but I know I had seen it before (needs to watch my VHS tapes).
The next song was one of my favorites to see on DVD, so of course it was my favorite to see live as well!!! CARNIVAL NIGHT part 2 was super fun, as expected, but the boys did not dance the routine together. The images across the screen were really fun, too! The Jrs did, and i was doing it with them in my seat.
After that, the lights went a bit dim, and the lead guitarist came out and started playing. Then Nino came down with a black electric guitar. Time for Nino's solo!!!!! He sang 言葉より大切なもの in a pop-rock-ish style. It was actually really good. I think this was a really good introduction into the ballad section that was coming up.
Everything was nothing but... AMAZING. On top of the boys standing up at the top of the main stage sounding beautiful, they had a very cool video showing. Whenever they would sing ♪赤から青に変わるsignal♪ there was a red and bule light on screen, there was amazing shots of Tokyo including Tokyo Tower, as well as silhouettes of people walking across the screen. At the end there was a shooting star that came across the screens.
Galaxy, there was a lot of stars, and at the end this big drawn eye (that kinda creeped me out). This is another one of my favorites, so it was a tear jerker. The atmosphere they created for this song was really romantic and soothing. Nino didn't sing all of his parts, and had us sing for him.
So the cool thing about this tour was that they had an orchestra playing wit them. I think it added to the richness of the songs, but for アオゾラペダル it was really awesome. The intro between these three songs would have anyone, even non-Arashi fans, crying like crazy.
Nino did his whole, opening talk part, but he changed it.... i forget what he said (starts thinking real hard).
Without realizing it, Riidaa had gone away, and then he popped up from the back stage in Yano Kenta's outfit and started singing It was sooooo cute! I think MADD was his background dancers because he looked so tiny surrounded by the Jrs. They danced all the way to the main stage. It was pretty fun, but no comparison to his sexy Top Secret performance.
a Day in Our Life was next up. I think they were trying to stall for Riidaa to come out because they said, "Say ARASHI!" and we would shout back "ARASHI!!" only a billion times before they actually got into the song. I was going crazy during the song, so I don't remember much about what went on or where the guys were.
Oh Yeah! was next, and it just made everyone get more and more excited!!!!! They were totally building up to ハダシの未来. This one, I remember. They were all on raised platforms doing the dance. This is my favorite song, so I was bopping and dancing along with them. I think Oh-chan was facing our side...
Beautiful days was cute. They sang it on the center stage as it rotated around.
/lj-cut>
Then finally, the MC came. It was aaaaaaalllllll about Aiba!!!!!
First, they were talking about how amazed they were that the weather turned out to be so nice (it was EXTREMELY HOT, like almost to the point of being miserable.). Jun said that when he checked the weather reports, it was 60% chance of rain for the afternoon, and like 80% for night. Sho asked us if we prepared for it and brought raincoats. Aiba-chan said that he hoped the weather report was wrong, and they all looked up at the sky, and were like, I think it is wrong. There was super tension against Aiba-chan tonite tho. I think Sho even called him by Masaki at one point. hahaha.
And then, they let us know that Sakamoto-san and Miyake Ken-kun from V6 were watching the show tonight...
Back to the MC, they were teasing Aiba-chan from the beginning. They were saying how funny it was that Aiba calls Sakamoto-kun, "Sakamoto-san" and that they didn't get it. Aiba-chan is known to be a bit too casual with his senpai. So Nino said, why do you use "-san" for him!? Aiba-chan said he was scared around him, and that when he came into Johnnys, Sakamoto-kun was already 24 years old, and very mucha senpai, so that's how it's always been for him. Nino was like, "I thought you would call him Sakamocchan." hahaha.
From here, they asked each other which senpai each of them were close to. Nino talked about a time when he had dinner with Matsuoka and a few others. Matsuoka had asked Nino to do magic, but then after he did a trick or two, Matsuoka told Nino, "You are kimochiwarui!!" And Nino thought, "But you are the one who asked me to do it!" MatsuJun and Nino talked about an episode where they went to dinner with Matsuoka-kun, Yamaguchi-san, and later Sakamoto-kun came to join them.
So the conversation started, and Yamaguchi (i think) and Nino got bored and some how decided it would be a good idea to drink tequilla shots for everytime someone came into the bar. After a few shots (7 in half an hour), Nino felt super sick and "had to go to the bathroom." And he goes, "Yes, that means I had to go throw up." So he said that a few minutes later, MatsuJun came knocking on the bathroom door and said, "Nino, you're throwing up, aren't you?" And Nino was both surprised and embarrassed. But MatsuJun told him to open the door, so Nino, embarrassed, did. And for about 20 minutes MatsuJun was rubbing Nino's back as he threw up. He even stuck his finger down Nino's throat to help him out. (I thought this was pretty gross, cuz I have never heard of ANYONE sticking their finger down a friend's throat. That's true love right there.... I think.). Then Oh-chan goes, "You like to stick your fingers in people's mouth, don't you, MatsuJun?" And then MatsuJun did his signature, "WTF did you just say to me?" blink and move towards the person kind of thing (think MatsuJun vs. Akanishi in Utawara). And Oh-chan gets a bit nervous and goes, "chigau, chigau." You like to help people throw up by sticking your fingers down people's throat. And everyone was like "Eeeeeeeeehhhhh!?!?!?!" And Oh-chan continues to tell us that MatsuJun has done it before to someone else.
At one point, Aiba-chan stepped out of the talk circle and was frantically scurrying around the back of the center stage. Nino was like, "What are you doing!?" (getting distracted from his story), and Aiba-chan started to explain that he was really thirsty (his voice was reeeeally raspy
Jun said that he often goes surfing with some of their senpai, I forget who now.
At the very end of the MC, they mentioned that Toma and Ryo-chan were there (gaaah, so jealous!).
Nino calls Ryo-chan "Nishikii" and everyone was like, "That's the first time I heard that." (I was thinking that they did not read stuff Nino wrote, cuz if they did, they would know that that's his nickname for Ryo) But the others said that it must be confusing because there is another JE named "Nishiki". And Nino disagreed, saying that he calls Ryo-chan "Nishikii-" not "Nishiki". So it's easy to distinguish. Also, at the very end of the concert they said that Toma came really early and was eating all their food. haha.
Then, one of them (probably Sho or MatsuJun) tell Aiba that he should pimp his upcoming drama. And they all agree, and he goes "iino?" so he starts to talk, and the rest of the guys run off of stage. Aiba-chan is like, "wait! You're all leaving me!?" But he starts to explain that his drama is called "My Girl" and that it would be airing starting October 9th and that it would be his first starring role. He said that his character is a guy that has a kid he didn't know about until the mother passed away. So, he begins to live with the child. And then Nino comes onto the stage and Aiba yells at him "timing! timing!" because Nino came out while Aiba-chan was really getting into talking about his drama. Then Nino started asking random questions... and the teasing continued.
Nino: "What channel is your show going to be on?"
A: "It's going to be..."
N: "Chiba TV, right?"
A: "TV ASAHI! Don't make fun of Chiba TV! You don't wanna get on their bad side."
and then Nino went into overexaggerated shock mode.
I wasn't!!!! Eeeeeeehhh!!!! I wasn't.
Then MatsuJun and Oh-chan pop out and go, "OH! Aiba, you're going to be in a drama?"
And then Aiba-chan tells them he is, and that he is following in Oh-chan's steps and going to be on TV Asahi.
Then Oh-chan was like, "hontou ni?" all cute and innocently, like he didn't know. And Aiba-chan asked them to watch it.
Then they were like, "That's right! Nino, tell us about your drama special."
So Nino explained that his special, "天国で君に逢えたら" (Tengoku ni kimi ni aetara, if I were to meet you in heaven.") and he said it would be airing on September 24th. But that he didn't know what time it would be on. So he told Arashi that he was sorry, but no one will watch Himitsu no Arashi-chan if it is on at the same time. And he continues on to say that Aiba should ask Chiba TV if they will air HnA for them. hahahaha.
Then the focus went onto Oh-chan and they asked him what he has lined up, where he's been fishing, and Nino goes, "Chiba Sea?" And Riidaa said that he liked fishing in Chiba, but he hand no special plans. Apparently, he really likes catching Maguro, so if he had to set a goal, that is what it would be aimed towards. He said that he thought he got sunburnt from rehersals that day, but the others assured him that it would have been because of the fishing on numerous occasions, rather than from one day of rehersals (although I got a pretty deep tan from standing in line for goods, so I totally understand where Riidaa is coming from.)
MatsuJun mentioned that someone (i forget) had seen them the night before and said that Oh-chan didn't look good in the hot pink suits (which they were now wearing). And Oh-chan got sad.... but MatsuJun corrected himself saying that the person didn't think a tan went well with the hot pink.
Then they decided to move on, and Aiba shouted "Let's go, Sakurai Sho" and with that, Sho came out in a sparkling Green with white sleeve zip up hoodie. He was wearing the hood on his head at first as he started dancing. It was soooooooooooooooooooo cute, and I'm not just saying that because I like the guy. He didn't sing in his usual deep voice, he was going for the cutesy approach. The juniors danced with silver balls with him on the main stage before they danced down to the center stage. There was a dance break towards 2/3 of teh way through the song, so it was a really fun number.
Then the arena went dark, and some jazz-feeling music came on. MatsuJun's WISH
solo was up. He was wearing a simple black (pants and suspenders) and
white (t-shirt) outfit with a black glove on his left hand, and a cute
black fedora. He sang pretty well to my surprise,
and the mood went really well with his voice. The screen showed two
building looking things with a screen on each. The left screen showed
various clips of him in all his dramas (momo and domyoji together in a
montage!!!!) and on the right side, was the live feed of him singing.
It was then that I realized that they each sang a song that came from
a performance they had on screen... Aiba in PIKA☆NCHI, Nino in Stand
Up!, Ohno in Uta no Oniisan, Sho in Yoiko no Mikata, and MatsuJun in
Hana Yori Dango.
Apparently, the hidden track on the RE of 5x10 is called Attack it!because it came across the screen when the song started. It was fun, and intense. I was sad they didn't sing La Tormenta, but this was kinda fun to watch and hear.
truth was next, and they flew again for this one. The special effects for this were insane. There were fireball shooters all over the stages. Literally, fireballs were coming out of the stage. The olympic torch thing was lit for this song too. And you could feel the heat radiating from them. I think if I was in an arena seat, I would have been scared my hair would get burnt.
明日の記憶 was yet another amaaaaaaaazing song. ( i feel like im saying that with every discrption) But what they had done was a reflection on the boy's childhood through pictures. The pix were lined up (L to R): Aiba, Nino, Ohno, Sho, MatsuJun. At first it was photos of them in their outfits that they took the shots for the posters in, and then one by one the photo slideshows started. It started with Ohno, then Sho, Aiba, Nino, and finally Jun. I couldn't see MatsuJun's from where I was sitting, but the rest of them were really cute.
There
was another break in the concert at this point, and they showed a VTR
of their interview (probably in hawaii) on a boat, which was followed
by all of photos and the major events and songs of the years... showing
them in Hawaii, concerts, drama and variety clips (Aiba with the tiger)
and other stuff. The guys talking in the background, reflecting on the
past couple of years. They wondered if there were people at Kokuritsu
who were also at their very first concert... Aiba's voice was kinda
raspy, but we weren't quite sure if they were reading it live or not
because there were also pauses they had that would suggest that it
wasn't recorded... but idk. This was an intro into the medley of all
of their older songs. They sang,
A・RA・SHI
PIKA☆NCHI
Hero
WISH
Love so sweet
Happiness
Believe
For A・RA・SHI, they came out in those same clear outfits with the white shorts, and were laughing as they sang and dance to the song. It was awesome! On the screens they also showed video of their original performances. Towards the end, Sho-kun and MatsuJun were making cute embarrassed poses covering their chikubi.
I almost fell over during 時代 because the explosions were so loud. The first one really scared me, and i totally jumped. The ladies sitting next to me were cracking up.
Hero
may be my new favorite song. During this number, they came around
again on the moving platforms, just as before, Aiba, Sho and Nino were
on our side first, and I was in freak out fan girl mode. Then Jun and
Oh-chan came around towards the end of the song.... I was wearing a
blue satin dress with a blue cover-up (see the purikura at the end of
this entry) not because Oh-chan is my favorite, but because I got the
dress for suuuper cheap and wanted to wear something "fancy" for the
con to gain more attention. So there I was, in my bright blue satin
dress, and MatsuJun and Oh-chan come around.... then the lady standing
next to me (with binoculars) starts freaking out and goes, "He's
pointing at us!" And I was like, "Really!?" And she goes, "Yeah!
Wave!" So I looked at him, and he was pointing, and then I
started to wave, and he waved back!!!!!! *Kyaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
official freak out mode had now set in. I actually can't remember if I
was holding my "I'm from Hawaii" uchiwa up or not, but I am thinking
that it could've been part of the reason why i got picked out of the
crowd.... or because I'm brown and he thought I was a fisher.
hahahahaha.
During Love so Sweet, fireworks went off towards the back of the stadium, near sections 14-15... it was cute. Oh-chan was like, "Oh! Hanabi!" and pointed to the area where fireworks were going off.... maybe they were for the baseball game that was going on a few meters away.
Then during believe, they had fireworks that went off to the music above the main stage area ( it was like bellagio, firework style) and it was really cool. They used some cool spinning ones, and ones that made it look like fountains.
They all lined up and then each gave a speech. I found this on a girl's ameblo. She was taking notes during the con.
Sho: Everyone, really... even everyone all the way up there, really, seriously, truely, thank you very much. During our concert 10 years ago, we talked about how it would be great if we became a group that had fans that were happy to like us but now that 10 years has passed, I wonder if we have become that group to those fans. (everyone claps) I have really been thinking recently. 10 years ago, at that event in Hawaii. One more time, just once more if I were to return to that day again, I know that I would choose the same path again. I think that because of those of you who are here, and because of those who weren't able to come as well. I think it's because of everyone. Thank you all very much.
Ohno: Thank you all very much for coming today. Ten years have gone by, huh. Ten years ago I have this memory of doing a job that I knew nothing about. But now, standing here 10 years later, I feel like this is something I have never experienced yet. This is such an awesome space to be in, you can feel the warmth and happiness. I really think this was a good stage. From now on, everyone, as one, please watch over Arashi. Thank you very much.
Aiba: Everyone, thank you all so much for coming today. Thank you very much. Really, today, coming together with everyone as one. We have become one... right? I think we have, and like, it seriously has been 10 years... Ten years!! Like, since Arashi's A.ra.shi all the way up to today, doing almost all of the songs, and having a memory attached to each song, it really feels like it has been ten year, even though there has been some tough times. Like when I was sick... (at this point some ppl giggle...) it's ok to laugh. I was thinking that it would be better to not have that memory of being sick, but I realized that I was surrounded by great people being in Arashi when that happened. Like, seriously today, being able to see everyone's face made me really happy. Even in our 11th year, I hope to spend it with everyone. Let's all hang out together again, everyone. Thank you very much for today.
Nino: Everyone, thank you so much for today. Just like everyone has been saying, it has been 10 years. Often in interviews, we have been asked if it has been long or short but, I have played baseball for aout 15 years, and games for about 20. It is the first time that I have seriously spent 10 years doing something like this. Then I am asked, "What about the 3 years that you spent as a Jr.?" I really have nothing I can say, but I have done my best to during these 10 years, and if I had to sum it all into one word, it would be fun. With everyone who cheers us on like this, with the staff who helped us to make something from zero, more than anything I think that probably, without these people we wouldnt have been going for 10 years. The Arashi I see is thses four people. That's because I can't see myself. Because of that, I want to always be able to see Arashi from the closest seat in the house. Being able to do something like this is also because of everyone. Thank you all for today. It was reall fun.
MatsuJun: Everyone, thank you very much for today. How was our 10 years? I am pretty sure that the timing where everyone became to know us is different for each of you but, being supported by so many people for these past 10 years, and borrowing your strengths for 10 years, we have been able to come this far. Thank you very much. We will, the 5 of us together, while doing stupid things, do our best to make things fun for you all so in the 11th and 12th and from now on, I hope to be able to make great memories with all of you like we are doing now. Thank you for everything up until now. Also, please take care of us in the future. Thank you very much.
And now, for our last song, a song that I think is very like us in
Then, they sang the final song of the regular set, 5×10. During the last half of the medley, the event staff were coming out with huuuge things of balloons. At the very end of the song, they released thousands of balloons. I saw a girl with one later, and it actually had the logo written on it. Too bad they flew far, far away.
The first encore was PIKA★★NCHI DOUBLE, 明日に向かって, できるだけ, and One Love. They came out wearing the same pants as before, and were all wearing different chic versions of their tour shirt. I remember there were rhinestones and rivets on all of theirs... but Sho-chan was wearing a tank top version of the shirt, and MatsuJun's shirt's sleeves were all cut up like fringes...
Then the members introduced themselves, and they thanked us and said goodbye.
The chanting started soon after, and they did the double encore.
After they sang A・RA・SHI, they each said a few words...
As with every concert, we took purikura after...
Igot a crazy amount of goods. the eco bag is larger than the NEWS, KATTUN, and Kanjani ones. The quality of the material is a lot better too. The pamphlet is AMAZING and worth every yen you pay. You get great shots of them as a group and individually (like in the clear files), info on concerts theyve done since debut including setlists and candids, and you get a hand written message from all of the boys! The mini uchiwa are soooo cute, and the strap and t-shirts are must haves as well. I wonder if they are going to do different goods for the domes....

So, we were planning on going to Nikko this past weekend because we couldn't get a bus out to Kyoto.
And then destiny helped out! HnA took the Arashi Guys to Nikko!!!!
First thing I did when I got there was eat Yuba no nimono. I was really silky and yummy!
I guess a lot of girls watched HnA on Friday, cuz there was a 20 min. long line there when I went, and later in the day, the line was even longer! But it was good, and I met the old lady who owns the shop. She's cute. Poor thing works so hard. She told me that the crazy lines were a new thing for them.
The next thing I had to do was go to the World Heritage area. I have been to a fair share of temples, shrines, and other historical sites. But Nikko is seriously so beautiful and the temples are waay over the top. I decided to save Toshogu for the second day of my trip because of all of the details. I got to see the sacred horse and the Monkey "circle of life" that adorns his stable. It was pretty awesome to see it in person.
Then, I made an effort to figure out where the power spot was. It took me a little while, but there is a guy that is sitting selling cameras, and I was like, "Is this the power spot?" and he told me it was. I took a picture of it... Then, I am a little too tall for 160cm (i'm like 165) so I had to squat just a little bit to see the Higurashi Mon framed by the tori, but I did see it. And it was pretty cool. Thanks HnA for the info!
The last part of my Arashi-inspried Nikko trip was the Ekiben (train station bento). I had the Masazushi and it was awesome!!! We even went on the same train as the guys!!!
